Manhattan Prep LSAT

The Good:

  1. Manhattan Prep’s LSAT instructors are all highly qualified, scoring in the 99th percentile on official LSAT exams and having at least 2 years of teaching experience. In addition, after they are hired, instructors go through a three month training process to ensure that they understand how to teach the methods needed to succeed in the exam.

  2. Instructors at Manhattan Prep hold office hours every week for their students. This is a great opportunity for students to get one-on-one attention and gain a better understanding of what they need to improve on, at no additional cost. Other LSAT courses offered by competitors do not provide this luxury and do not have a lot of opportunities outside of the classroom for students to get extra assistance.

  3. Manhattan Prep allows students to attend free live classes and take a free live online course before they enroll to see if they like the program. Students can get a feel of the course and prep quality before they actually pay money and enroll.

The Bad:

  1. Manhattan Prep offers test prep services for other exams besides the LSAT, such as the GMAT, GRE, and ACT/SAT. This restricts it from devoting all its resources towards improving the LSAT. This further hinders it from strengthening its LSAT course at a faster pace than competitors who only offer prep for the LSAT, such as Blueprint.

  2. Manhattan Prep has one of the highest private tutoring rates among LSAT test prep companies. Its hourly rate for tutoring is $255, and its tutoring packages are priced as high as $5,625.

  3. Manhattan Prep’s LSAT classroom course only offers 66 hours of live instruction. This is a little more than half of the amount of hours Blueprint’s LSAT classroom course offers to its students, which is 112.
