Blueprint LSAT Prep is the largest LSAT test prep company in the country, with classes located in 34 cities and additional online instruction available to stream as well. It remains one of the most popular LSAT Prep services due to its unprecedented amount of resources and services, providing convenience for many prospective law students.
Here is a breakdown of what Blueprint has to offer:
The Good:
Blueprint is solely an LSAT test prep company. This gives it the opportunity and time to make improvements to its curriculum each year. Larger companies such as Kaplan and Princeton Review do not have this flexibility as they have to divide their resources among several standardized tests such as the SAT, GMAT, MCAT, etc.
Blueprint provides its students with every released LSAT question (over 7000), through its 17 practice tests, 5 textbooks, and online practice resources.
The instructors of Blueprint all scored above 170 on their LSATs, which ranks at the 97th percentile. In addition, they are all trained for over 200 hours by the founders of Blueprint to ensure that they understand how to break down the LSAT questions and teach strategies to young students.
Blueprint’s classroom course includes 112 hours of instruction, which is at least 20 more hours than any of its competitors.
Students have multiple ways to access resources in order to study on-the-go with the Blueprint mobile app. The app allows you to watch videos that explain sections or questions from exams, do practice problems, receive analytics telling you what to work on, as well as score your tests by simply taking a picture of your scantron.
The Bad:
Blueprint’s classroom course is around 100-300 dollars more than that of Princeton Review, Powerscore, and Kaplan.
If you are not located near any of the cities that Blueprint offers classroom instruction, there is no live online instruction available for you to get the same intense breakdown from someone interacting with you in the moment.
One-on-one tutoring is available to those that do not live near any of the cities Blueprint offers classes. However, this service is costly with a rate of $150 per hour.
The Blueprint mobile app is only available for iOS devices. Hence, Android users would not be getting the full value of the classroom package because they would be unable to use the online resources Blueprint has to offer.
